Portugal earned a place in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals. They beat Norway 2-1, maintaining a perfect record under coach Jorge Jesus. The team came from behind to secure the win.

Kristoffer Ajer scored for Norway in the 36th minute with a remarkable strike. Portugal responded shortly after when João Cancelo leveled the score with a powerful shot.

The second half saw less action. A draw would have been enough for Portugal to advance, thanks to Denmark's victory over Wales. However, Gonçalo Ramos scored the decisive goal late in the game, preserving Portugal's undefeated streak under Jesus.

Ramos found the net for his third goal in three matches. The goal came amidst the situation regarding Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from the squad. Ramos scored after good build-up play involving Vitinha and João Félix.

Further drama unfolded. Both teams had penalty appeals denied. A Norway substitute received a red card for protesting. Shortly after, Portugal's Francisco Conceição was shown two yellow cards for dissent near the end of normal time. He was booked after a challenge by Leo Ostigard, which denied him a penalty.

Norway failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage. They now face an uphill battle to join Portugal in the quarter-finals after their third consecutive loss.

Early attempts from both sides came from distance. Diogo Costa made a save from Antonio Nusa's shot. Egil Selvik turned away Gonçalo Ramos's effort.

Ajer's goal was a spectacular effort. He capitalized on Portugal's inability to clear Martin Ødegaard's free-kick. From the edge of the area, he struck the ball with the outside of his boot, sending it into the far corner.

Cancelo's equalizer was equally impressive. The Barcelona defender beat Selvik with a fierce shot. He punished Norway for letting a long throw bounce into his path.

Selvik denied Cancelo a second goal nine minutes into the second half. Erling Haaland missed an opportunity to put Norway back in front, firing across the goal.

Ramos converted the winning goal, set up by Félix. Félix turned Vitinha's pass back across the goal for the forward to score.

Tempers flared towards the end. Conceição's actions mean he will miss the next match in November. This game will be a dead rubber for Portugal as their Nations League campaign continues.
