The world No. 4 exhibited remarkable consistency from the baseline, bringing an impressive streak to an end for the Russian teenager.

Korneeva, ranked No. 89, had been the standout performer of the week, having defeated three seeded players on her path to the Round of 16: No. 13 seed Iva Jovic, No. 23 seed Emma Navarro, and Polina Kudermetova (who retired). However, she faced a formidable challenge in Gauff. The American player was relentless, conceding little to her opponent, with her return game proving particularly effective.
