World No. 547, 17-year-old German tennis player Diego Dedura-Palomero, celebrated his debut victory in the main draw of an ATP tournament in a very unusual way.
In the first round match of the ATP 250 clay-court tournament in Munich, Germany, lucky loser Dedura-Palomero faced world No. 29, Canadian Denis Shapovalov. Diego won the first set 7-6(2) and was leading 3-0 in the second set when Shapovalov retired from the match.
After shaking hands with Shapovalov at the net, Dedura-Palomero initially celebrated reaching the second round with a shout, and then threw his headband onto the court. Following this, Diego proceeded to draw a cross on the court with his foot. Once completed, he lay down on it, spreading his arms and legs.
