Wrexham is reportedly in discussions regarding the potential signing of Fulham captain Tom Cairney.
Following their third consecutive promotion, which sees them return to the Championship, the Red Dragons are once again prepared to invest significantly in their squad.

According to reports from The Telegraph, Wrexham has already identified several potential transfer targets, with Cairney now appearing on their list.
The club has reportedly initiated contact to discuss a move for the midfielder. This potential signing would be one of their most ambitious to date, following their previous record expenditure of £2 million for Sam Smith in January.
Cairney`s current contract is set to expire in the summer, potentially allowing him to join for free, although he would likely command substantial wages.
Returning to the second tier for the first time in 21 years, Wrexham is reportedly keen on acquiring experienced players, and Cairney fits this profile well.
He has extensive experience, having played 318 games in the Championship and 412 appearances in the top flight, alongside two international caps for Scotland.
The 34-year-old Cairney has made 27 appearances for Fulham this season, with 23 of those in the Premier League, although most have been as a substitute.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has a history of recruiting seasoned players, with recent arrivals including Jay Rodriguez (35), James McClean (36), and Steven Fletcher (37).
Currently, Wrexham boasts 11 players aged 30 or over in their squad, with the possibility of more experienced signings joining.
Former Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has also been linked with a move to the North Wales club after confirming his departure from Leicester following 13 years.

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is another player whose contract is set to expire next month, and he has been speculated as a potential free agent arrival.
Parkinson commented that the club is “always planning” and, while they haven`t discussed specific individuals, they have a profile of potential free agents they are considering.
He stated: “We haven’t really spoken about anything. We’ve always got our eye on players who are free transfers and are going to be available.
“I think it’s interesting because the jump in salaries is incredible, mind-blowing. Even coming up to this level, the jump to get players of Championship quality is expensive.
“But obviously the next level, I don’t think people outside football quite realise.
“They think players in League One must be multi-millionaires, but the drop-off from what people read in the press about Premier League players is huge.
“That is a challenge but what we’ve always tried to do is make sure the culture in the club is right.
“No superstars, no egos in the dressing room, and we’ve got to try to get that balance right again, to make sure the right people come into the building.”
