The Liverpool captain`s image rights and endorsements generated an extra £60,000 per week in addition to his substantial Liverpool salary.

These earnings are projected to increase following his recent two-year contract extension with the Reds, reportedly valued at £400,000 per week, inclusive of significant image rights payments.

Recent financial documents for VVD Promotions Limited, Van Dijk`s company, indicate assets totaling £11,689,424.

Van Dijk initiated his image rights business in May 2017, several months before his transfer to Liverpool.

The defender also owns a property firm, created in 2023, which holds assets worth £5,685,584.

Upon signing his new contract, Van Dijk expressed his satisfaction with continuing his career at Anfield.

He stated: “I’m very happy, very proud. It’s a proud feeling, it’s a feeling of joy. It’s just incredible. The journey I’ve had so far in my career, to be able to extend it with another two years at this club is amazing and I’m so happy.”

He further added: “It was always Liverpool. That was the case. It was always in my head, it was always the plan and it was always Liverpool. There wasn’t any doubt in my head that this is the place to be for me and my family. I’m one of Liverpool. Someone called me the other day an adopted Scouser – I’m really proud to hear these things, it gives me a great feeling.”
