Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has shared his thoughts on Paddy Pimblett`s recent victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in Miami.
Usman noted that while Pimblett`s striking may still need refinement and he makes mistakes, his grappling has reached a high level. He believes that if Pimblett continues his ascent in the lightweight division, his grappling skills will be a significant factor in his success.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Usman stated, “Looking at the top of the division, there are definitely fighters who can be hit. But I have nothing negative to say about Paddy Pimblett; he`s proven himself again. We have to give him respect.”
It is worth recalling that Pimblett secured a knockout victory against Chandler in the third round of their fight.
