Wrexham AFC players encountered an unexpected delay when they became trapped in a lift for an hour amidst their extravagant promotion celebrations in Las Vegas.
Sources revealed that the club`s Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, spent £500,000 on the festivities following the team`s successful promotion to the Championship.

The team traveled to Vegas via private jet on Thursday, beginning their revelry with a pool party.
According to a source: “After leaving the pool party, the players returned to the Bellagio Hotel to prepare for the Hakkasan Nightclub.
Having been drinking throughout the day, they were quite exhilarated when they entered the lift heading to the club`s entrance on the fourth floor.
They began behaving playfully, jumping up and down.”
“Suddenly, the lift halted abruptly and wouldn`t budge.
They faced a rather sobering one-hour wait for firefighters to rescue them.”
Upon their eventual release, owners Ryan and Rob ensured they had the prime table at the venue.
Eyewitnesses reported that the group at the Owners Table on Las Vegas Boulevard generously tipped their waitress £3,000.
Ryan, known for his role as Deadpool, and fellow actor Rob acquired Wrexham in 2020 for £2 million when it was a non-league team.
Its current value exceeds £100 million.
The journey of the Hollywood duo and the club has been chronicled in their TV series, `Welcome to Wrexham`.
This period has seen the North Wales club achieve their third consecutive promotion under the management of Phil Parkinson.
