Tottenham has suffered yet another injury setback. Midfielder Pape Matar Sarr had to be escorted off the pitch by medical staff during the match against Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old was substituted in the 53rd minute, with Yves Bissouma coming on in his place.

Medical staff attended to him immediately on the pitch before he carefully made his way down the tunnel at Aston Villa.
Sarr is now a potential doubt for the Europa League final next Wednesday. However, manager Ange Postecoglou stated after the match that the substitution was a precaution.
Postecoglou confirmed, “Pape felt something in his back so we took him off as a bit of a precaution. I don’t think it’s anything too significant speaking to him afterwards but he just felt something in his back.”
This injury adds to Tottenham`s growing list of concerns, with James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski also sidelined recently.
The mounting injuries, including Lucas Bergvall, leave Ange Postecoglou with difficult decisions regarding his midfield selection ahead of the crucial final.
Postecoglou had already made significant squad changes for the match at Villa Park, likely with the upcoming crucial game in Bilbao in mind. But despite efforts to manage the squad, Spurs continue to be plagued by injuries, a recurring theme this season.
This setback follows Postecoglou`s previous comments highlighting the team`s inability to afford further injuries, stating before the Villa game that losing another player would be “too finely balanced for us considering what`s at stake.”
