Daria Kasatkina was born on May 7, 1997, in Togliatti, Russia. Her parents are Sergey and Tatiana. Daria`s brother, Alexander, works as her fitness trainer. She started playing tennis at the age of six.
In 2014, Kasatkina won the French Open girls` singles title. She turned professional later that year. Throughout her career, she has captured six WTA singles titles and earned over $13.2 million in prize money.
Kasatkina`s best performance at a Grand Slam tournament was reaching the semifinals of Roland Garros in 2022. As part of the Russian national team, she won the Billie Jean King Cup in 2021.
In October 2022, she achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 8. She is currently ranked World No. 15.
In March of this year, Kasatkina confirmed she had obtained residence in Australia and would be changing her sporting nationality to represent Australia.
In her free time, Daria enjoys spending time with friends and is an avid football fan, with FC Barcelona being her favorite club.
