Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is among several Premier League players who became free agents today, finding himself without a club.
The midfielder has officially departed Arsenal following the expiration of his contract.
Partey is now seeking a new club for the upcoming season.
Arsenal had reportedly hoped to secure Partey on a new deal after some strong performances last season.
However, no agreement was reached, especially after Arsenal pursued Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
Arsenal are also in the process of signing Christian Norgaard from Brentford.
Partey might now look for a move abroad, with interest reported from clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, and Galatasaray.
He is not the only prominent player in the Premier League who finds himself without a club today.
At Manchester United, both Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen have also left.
Neither player was considered part of Ruben Amorim’s future plans, and they are currently awaiting offers from new clubs.
Elsewhere, Everton has also seen several players depart.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Mason Holgate have all left the club ahead of Everton`s relocation to their new stadium.
West Ham United has also lost three players whose contracts expired: Kurt Zouma, Vladimir Coufal, and Danny Ings.
Tottenham Hotspur is another club saying goodbye to a player, with Sergio Reguilon leaving on a free transfer.
Fulham have lost striker Carlos Vinicius but are still negotiating to keep right-back Kenny Tete, despite interest from Everton.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest has parted ways with defender Harry Toffolo.
Relegated Southampton have also seen their captain, Kyle Walker-Peters, depart St Mary’s.
