Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has offered advice to promising middleweight contender Bo Nickal, suggesting he might benefit from moving to a different weight class.
Sterling voiced his opinion on social media platform X, pointing out the significant size difference he observes at 185 pounds (84 kg). He related it to his own experience with weight management:
“I don’t like it, but I was right, the size difference at 84 kg is evident,” Sterling wrote. “I fought at 60 kg, then moved to 64 kg. Somehow I managed to make 61 kg. The top 15 in the middleweight are noticeably bigger than him in the cage. Anyone who thinks otherwise should pay closer attention. I’m a big fan of wrestling and Nickal, but this conversation needs to happen.”
