Sterling Questions Aspinall’s Eye Injury

Sports news » Sterling Questions Aspinall’s Eye Injury

Aljamain Sterling has voiced his doubts regarding the severity of Tom Aspinall`s eye injury, which he sustained after a poke from Ciryl Gane. Sterling`s comments highlight his skepticism about the incident.

“You might think I`d be on Tom`s side, but that`s not the case. I have many questions. Judging by the footage released after the fight, everything appeared fine. Aspinall was losing that bout. And he immediately declared, `I can`t see anything.` You can`t say that. We know such words seal the fate of any fight. If you intend to use all five minutes to try and continue, you cannot utter phrases like that. It makes me seriously wonder if it was truly as painful as he claimed?”
