Tottenham Hotspur faces a significant setback as their captain, Son Heung-min, has not journeyed to Germany for the crucial Europa League quarter-final second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Son is the only senior Tottenham player missing from the squad for this important match.

Son, 32, participated for 80 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg in London. However, he was absent from the Spurs` Premier League defeat to Wolves last Sunday.
Speaking upon arrival in Germany, Postecoglou explained, “Sonny didn`t travel; he`s the only one who hasn`t. He`s been dealing with foot pain for a couple of weeks.”
This season, Son has been a key player for Tottenham, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists in the Premier League. He has also added three goals in the Europa League, featuring in 43 games across all competitions.
In Son`s absence against Wolves, Mathys Tel started on the left wing and scored. Wilson Odobert, who was also absent at Molineux, has travelled with the squad to Germany.

In positive news for Tottenham, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison have returned to fitness and were available against Wolves. Kulusevski had been sidelined since late February, while Richarlison recently recovered from a January injury, marking his return with a goal against Wolves.
Defender Kevin Danso is also available for selection after recovering from a hamstring injury. Micky van de Ven, who was on the bench in the last game, is expected to return to the starting lineup alongside Cristian Romero in central defense for the match in Germany.

Speaking ahead of the game, Van de Ven expressed confidence in the team and manager, stating, “We all still have trust in the gaffer and believe in the way he wants to play. We want to win this game for him and for us.”
Aside from Son, Radu Dragusin remains the only other player unavailable for the upcoming match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
