World No. 1 Jannik Sinner of Italy has commented on his recent notable achievement. He became only the fifth male tennis player in the last 30 years to reach Grand Slam tournament finals on all three court surfaces (hard, clay, and grass).
Since 1995, this feat had only been accomplished by Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Andy Murray.
“It`s good company, it`s amazing,” Sinner remarked. “This achievement shows that I am growing as a player on all surfaces. And for me, this is more important – to keep moving forward, to continue working.”
“On this surface [grass], I had many issues when I started five years ago. I couldn`t even move well. Now everything is much better. It`s all part of the process. I am very happy,” Sinner stated after advancing to the Wimbledon final.
