Zach Giggs, son of Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs, is making significant progress in his football journey. The 18-year-old has recently achieved his fifth international appearance for Wales at the under-19 level, marking a notable milestone in his burgeoning career.
In a recent Euro Qualifying Elite Round match held in Rhyl, Zach played for Wales in their 3-1 victory against Turkey. This appearance adds to his growing experience in international youth football.

In the match against Turkey, Wales secured a 3-1 win with goals from Freddie Issaka, Manchester United`s Gabriele Biancheri, and Norwich City`s Elliot Myles. Despite earlier losses to England and Portugal in Group G, Wales U19s, coached by Chris Gunter, finished third in their group.
Zach, who is versatile as a centre-back or full-back, was in the starting lineup for the game against Turkey and received a yellow card near the end of the match.
Although eligible to play for England, Zach has chosen to represent Wales throughout his youth career. He participated in the full match against Portugal in a 1-0 defeat but did not play in the 2-0 loss to England.
Zach is among a promising group of young Welsh footballers who are aiming to emulate their fathers` success in the sport. This group includes Charlie Savage, son of Robbie Savage, and Lewis Koumas, son of Jason Koumas, both of whom have already made appearances at the senior level.
Currently, Zach is part of Sheffield United`s academy, having joined in 2023 after departing Manchester United`s youth setup. His mother is Stacey Cooke, Ryan Giggs` former wife, with whom he also has a daughter, Libby.
Ryan Giggs previously managed the Welsh national team but stepped down due to off-field legal issues. He was later cleared of all charges related to alleged abuse of his ex-girlfriend, accusations he consistently denied.
During his illustrious 25-year career at Old Trafford, Ryan Giggs achieved legendary status, winning numerous trophies including 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League titles. He also holds the record for scoring in 23 consecutive Premier League seasons.
