Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane has strongly recommended that his old club pursue the signing of Jack Grealish, asserting that the Manchester City midfielder is intrinsically a “real Tottenham player” due to his style of play.
The 29-year-old England international is reportedly facing an uncertain period at Manchester City, having been less involved under manager Pep Guardiola.

While Everton are among the clubs reportedly showing interest in the player who cost £100 million, Keane, who previously played for Spurs, voiced his hope that his former side would be successful in securing the transfer.
Speaking recently, the 44-year-old commented: “I love Jack. I think he’s a wonderful football player, and he’s a real Tottenham player with the way he plays and moves on the pitch.”
Elaborating on where Grealish could fit into the Spurs setup, Keane added: “I really think that he could fit into the Tottenham team, whether he plays on the left, as a high No. 8 or as a No. 10. I’d definitely be hoping for that move to happen.”
Keane, currently managing Hungarian club Ferencvaros, also offered his assessment of Tottenham`s squad requirements. He suggested that the club needs to bring in at least two or three new players during the transfer window, highlighting the acquisition of a holding midfielder as a primary need. Furthermore, he indicated that should key defender Cristian Romero depart, a new central defender would also become a priority signing.
The former Liverpool and Leeds player also identified Bryan Mbeumo as another player he believes would integrate effectively into the Tottenham squad. Keane remarked on the Brentford player: “He’s had a good season, scored some goals and got some assists, and now has teams like Man Utd looking at him. I’d expect him to do very well at Spurs.”
