Ferdinand`s new role is with EA SPORTS.

The 46-year-old is set to travel to Thailand for the Visa Presents EA SPORTS FC Mobile Festival in Bangkok, scheduled for June 14th.

At the event, he will transition from real football analysis to the virtual game, leading a special Q&A session on stage.

Additionally, on June 15th, Ferdinand is slated to participate in an FC Mobile Showmatch against gamers and will present the winner with the trophy and a £22,000 prize.

The festival will host top FC Mobile competitors from across Asia and the Middle East, who will compete in front of renowned global football figures and online personalities.

Ferdinand`s departure from TNT Sports followed the Champions League final on May 31st, which saw Paris Saint-Germain secure a dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan.

In his sincere statement announcing his exit from TNT, he hinted at pursuing new professional opportunities.

His statement read: “I`m excited about what the future holds, spending more time with my family, focusing on Rio Ferdinand Presents and my other business interests.

“I hope to stay connected with all of you in different capacities. Thank you once again for everything.”

Sources close to TNT suggested the possibility of Ferdinand returning to the channel in the future, either for guest appearances or on a permanent basis.

His decision not to extend his contract enables him to dedicate more time to his personal online platforms, which have seen increasing popularity.
