Three Premier League clubs are reportedly competing to sign Jadon Sancho, according to recent revelations.

The winger, formerly with Borussia Dortmund, has returned to Manchester United after Chelsea decided against making his loan move permanent.

New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim reportedly has no plans to integrate Sancho back into the first team, suggesting the 25-year-old requires a new club.

Sources indicate that Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are all monitoring the player`s situation.

Aston Villa is believed to be interested in a loan deal, but United would prefer a permanent transfer fee to fund squad reconstruction.

Both Newcastle and Tottenham see Sancho as a potential signing to strengthen their squads for domestic league and Champions League competition.

Borussia Dortmund was also tracking Sancho but has since opted to sign Jobe Bellingham instead.

Despite scoring in Chelsea`s 4-1 Europa Conference League final win over Real Betis, Sancho`s potential £25 million transfer to Chelsea did not materialize.

Chelsea had initially loaned Sancho from United with an option to buy for £25 million. This agreement included conditions such as potentially paying a £5 million penalty clause if they didn`t finish above a certain position (14th) or meet other criteria.

After finishing fourth in the league and winning the Conference League trophy, Chelsea chose to pay the £5 million penalty instead of completing the £25 million permanent transfer.

Chelsea is now reportedly looking at other wingers, including Jamie Byroe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao.

Sancho`s Manchester United teammate, Alejandro Garnacho, is also linked with a potential departure, reportedly sidelined by manager Ruben Amorim in a situation similar to Sancho`s previous issues with Erik ten Hag.

United has reportedly placed a high asking price of £70 million on the Argentine winger.

Garnacho is considered one of United`s valuable, sellable assets this summer, partly because he is classified as homegrown, despite having three years left on his contract.

Chelsea confirmed Sancho`s return to Manchester United today with a statement on their club website.

The statement read: “Sancho, 25, joined on a season-long loan on August 31 2024 and went on to make a total of 41 appearances for the club.”

“The winger registered five goals during his time at Stamford Bridge, with his final strike coming in the Blues` UEFA Conference League Final victory against Real Betis on May 28.”

“Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Jadon for his efforts and we wish him every success for the future.”
