UFC lightweight fighter Rafael Physiev recently shared his perspective on dealing with losses in his professional career.
Physiev explained how defeats impact him, stating it`s “just unpleasant” to reflect on his three losses, especially after experiencing victory frequently. He admitted to feelings of frustration, at times questioning himself for losing three times. However, he then puts these losses into context. He noted that two of the defeats, including his bout against Justin Gaethje, were recognized with “Fight of the Night” bonuses. He also mentioned one particular loss that resulted from a severe knee injury, which required nearly two years of recovery before he could return to fighting.
