Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira has publicly stated his desire for a rematch against current titleholder Islam Makhachev. Oliveira is targeting UFC 317, scheduled for late June, as the ideal time for this highly anticipated bout.
โI want to fight during International Fight Week, and Makhachev does too,โ Oliveira declared. โThe UFC needs to make it happen. This is the fight that the fans are demanding to see.โ
Their first encounter took place in October 2022, where Makhachev secured a victory over Oliveira in the early rounds.
