Four-time Grand Slam champion and former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka has spoken about her loss to Italy`s Jasmine Paolini in the Miami WTA 1000 fourth round.

This match marked Osaka`s first encounter with a Top 10 player this season, and also her first career match against Paolini.

“I think experience was a factor,” Osaka said. “I haven`t played many matches against top players like her recently. Her playing style surprised me, especially considering her height. I was not expecting her to hit with such power.”

Paolini defeated Osaka with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Paolini is set to face the winner of the match between Coco Gauff (USA) and Magda Linette (Poland) in the next round.
