MMA veteran Dan Hardy has given his expert opinion on the possibility of Oleksandr Usyk competing in mixed martial arts.
Hardy commented, “Usyk is very interested in trying MMA, and he`s known for being an unconventional personality. The fact that he has some wrestling background and even holds a brown belt in something suggests he`s serious. I can imagine he might have earned a brown belt in grappling disciplines between his boxing matches. He`s a fascinating individual who definitely has the potential to adapt to the world of MMA.”
Regarding Jake Paul, Hardy stated, “If Paul isn`t a truly high-level fighter, then any match with him, whether in boxing or MMA, will be of poor quality. Usyk is intelligent and skilled with both hands, making him a potentially difficult opponent in MMA. If Jake Paul does venture into MMA, I expect it will be against opponents who are past their prime, perhaps in their 40s.”
