Golfer Max Homa and his caddie Joe Greiner, friends since childhood, have ended their partnership.
Homa played in the Valero Texas Open with experienced caddie Bill Harke.
Homa expressed gratitude to Greiner for their time together and acknowledged the split in a statement.
He highlighted their shared memories and friendship.
Homa, aged 34, achieved significant PGA Tour success with six wins from 2019 to 2023, reaching a world ranking of 5th. He finished third at the previous Masters but has recently experienced a decline in performance.
Currently ranked 78th, Homa has missed the cut in his last four tournaments and hasn`t placed better than 26th this year.
The Texas Open is the last event before the Masters. Homa began poorly, scoring 76 in the first round.
