Masters 2025: Par 3 Contest Top Moments

Sports news » Masters 2025: Par 3 Contest Top Moments

The cherished tradition of the Masters Par 3 Contest celebrated its 63rd year.

Since its inception in 1960, with Sam Snead as the first winner, the Par 3 Contest offers a relaxed and enjoyable competition on a specially designed nine-hole course. Masters participants and past champions are invited, and it`s common for golfers to have family members, celebrities, spouses, or children as their caddies.

Despite its lighthearted nature, the players still aim to perform their best.

Throughout the contest`s history, there have been 112 holes-in-one. In 2024, five remarkable holes-in-one were achieved by Luke List, Gary Woodland, Sepp Straka, Lucas Glover, and Viktor Hovland.

An interesting superstition surrounds the event: players who are serious contenders for the Masters title might avoid winning the Par 3 Contest, as no Par 3 winner has ever gone on to win the Masters in the same year.

Here are some standout moments from this year`s Par 3 Contest:
