World No. 34 Magda Linette has commented on her victory over world No. 3 Coco Gauff in the fourth round of the Miami WTA 1000 tournament. Linette won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
In a press conference, Linette stated, “I played with courage. I managed to add to that a fairly reliable performance on my serve, because returning against her serve is really tough. Even if you manage to break, she remains very tenacious and continues to fight no matter what. For me, it was very important to constantly put pressure on her so she could feel it. To do this, I needed to return serve effectively.”
