Manchester City icon Kevin De Bruyne recently shared his son`s hilarious reaction after missing a golden opportunity during his last home match at the Etihad Stadium.
The midfield maestro played his final match for City at their home ground against Bournemouth on Tuesday, as his contract is set to finish this summer.

In the 25th minute, with the score at 1-0, De Bruyne had a clear chance to score from just five yards out following a cross from Omar Marmoush. However, in a rare moment, he hit the crossbar, astonishing everyone in the stadium, including his family.
His wife, Michele Lacroix, and their three children, Rome, Mason, and Suri, were in the stands and were reportedly seen trying to rewatch the missed chance shortly after it happened.
Reflecting on the miss after the game, De Bruyne admitted: “I told myself I just needed to be there, the chance would come. It was awful, no excuses. My son will definitely give me a hard time about it today.”
Fortunately for City, the miss didn`t impact the result. Goals from Bernardo Silva and Nico Gonzalez secured a 3-1 victory despite Mateo Kovacic`s red card and a late goal from Daniel Jebbison for the opposition.
De Bruyne was substituted in the 69th minute and received a lengthy standing ovation and cheers, marking the end of his highly successful ten-year spell with the club.
Appearing emotional, the Belgian midfielder waved to the fans and embraced the coaching staff as he slowly walked off the pitch for the final time at home.
As part of his farewell, the club presented him with a lifetime season ticket, signed memorabilia, a new mural dedicated to him, and announced plans for a street to be named after him.
During his emotional farewell speech, it was also announced that a statue would be erected outside the Etihad Stadium in his honour.
Reflecting on his time at City in an interview with Sky Sports, he stated: “My 10 years here have been unbelievable. I always wanted to bring joy, play attacking, creative football, and have fun. We had a lot of fun over these 10 years, through wins and occasional losses. It was fulfilling to work hard and build something for this club, leaving it in a better place than before. I am extremely proud.”
He departs Manchester City with an impressive trophy haul, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and a Champions League title.
Across his time at the club, he made over 420 appearances, scoring 108 goals and providing 177 assists.
