The highly anticipated fight between UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones and interim titleholder Tom Aspinall is now expected to happen no sooner than this fall.

According to reputable journalist Ariel Helwani, Jones has indicated that he requires a six-month training camp from the moment the fight is officially scheduled.

Helwani commented on his podcast, stating, “The clock is ticking… I`m told Jon wants six months to prepare after the fight is agreed. What`s six months from now? September? While money is certainly a factor, it appears that the possibility of a summer fight is diminishing due to this timeline.”
