Newcastle player Joelinton seemed to challenge Manchester United`s Manuel Ugarte to a fight in the tunnel after a heated moment on the field.

During Newcastle`s 4-1 victory at home, Brazilian player Joelinton, being substituted, had a clash with Uruguayan player Manuel Ugarte.

Newcastle`s assistant manager, Jason Tindall, was substituting Joelinton to prevent him from getting a yellow card and a suspension.

However, Joelinton appeared very angry and argued with Ugarte, confronting him before being held back by teammates.

It looked like Joelinton was challenging Ugarte to a fight.

Joelinton gestured towards the tunnel, seemingly inviting Ugarte to settle things there after the game.

Newcastle fans were likely relieved that Joelinton did not receive a yellow card during this incident.

He was already close to a two-game suspension due to accumulated yellow cards.

Tindall was probably happy to get Joelinton off the field before the situation escalated further.

At that point, Newcastle was leading 4-1 and on track to overtake Manchester City in the league standings.

Joelinton played a part in Newcastle`s fourth goal, scored by his fellow Brazilian Bruno Guimaraes, which resulted from a poor pass by Manchester United`s goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

Harvey Barnes scored twice for Newcastle in the second half, capitalizing on Manchester United`s weak defense.

Earlier in the game, Manchester United`s Alejandro Garnacho had equalized after Sandro Tonali scored the first goal for Newcastle.

Joelinton avoiding a yellow card completed a successful day for Newcastle, especially since their manager, Eddie Howe, was absent due to illness.

However, some viewers were critical of Joelinton`s behavior.

One person commented that Joelinton should have been given a red card for inciting violence.

Another questioned why Joelinton would make such a gesture.

A third person remarked that it would have been “crazy” if Ugarte had accepted the challenge.
