18-year-old Brazilian Joao Fonseca has become the youngest player to reach the third round of the Miami Masters tournament since 2007.

The last player as young to reach this stage in Miami was Argentinian Juan Martin Del Potro in 2007, who went on to win the US Open in 2009.

Fonseca, currently ranked 60th in the world, is participating in his third Masters event. This is his first time advancing beyond the second round, and he is now set to compete against 11th-ranked Australian Alex de Minaur.
