Jean-Claude Blanc has left his role as a director at Manchester United.
Blanc became a member of the United board last year after Sir Jim Ratcliffe bought a 25 percent stake in the club.
Previously the CEO of Ineos Sport, he was appointed as a director and represented Manchester United at meetings of the European Clubs` Association and the Premier League.
However, the 62-year-old has now left this position to take on a different role at Man Utd.
A statement from the club said: “Jean-Claude Blanc has stepped down from his position as a director of Manchester United Football Club.
“However, he will continue to play an active part in the club`s management in his new role as Chief of International Football Relations and Special Adviser to the board.”
In his new role, Blanc will continue to represent United on the international stage, including in dealings with UEFA and FIFA.
He has a wealth of experience in European football, having previously worked for Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
Blanc also served on the Olympic Organising Committee in the 1980s and 1990s.
Furthermore, he was previously CEO of the French Tennis Association and was responsible for organizing the French Open.
He joined Juventus as Chairman of the Board in 2009 but resigned after just seven months.
Blanc also held an executive marketing position at PSG.
