Following his second ATP 500 title victory in Beijing, where he confidently defeated Learner Tien 6/2, 6/2, world No. 2 Jannik Sinner addressed questions about comparisons to tennis legends Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer.

When asked about joining the likes of Djokovic and Nadal as a multiple Beijing champion, Sinner remarked:

“Of course, it`s great to be on that list with them. But every player follows their own path and builds their career in a unique way. For me, this tournament will always be special. It`s rare to come to a new place and immediately start showing such consistent results. I`ve reached the final three times here already, which speaks to my comfort and connection to this venue.”

Regarding the prospect of breaking Djokovic`s record of six Beijing titles and playing as long as him, Sinner replied with a smile:

“I don`t know. I don`t compare myself to Novak – he`s on a completely different level. I`m just an ordinary 24-year-old guy who is simply trying to play his best tennis. I`ve already won a few big titles, but I still need to see how long I can maintain this level. What Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer have done for over 15 years is truly incredible.”

He emphasized:

“I don`t compare myself to them. I`m here to play and enjoy every moment. I`m happy that I`ve won this tournament twice. Whether I stop at this or manage to secure more trophies in the future – only time will tell.”
