Veteran forward Jamie Vardy is reportedly confident he can still perform in the Premier League and is determined to avoid dropping down to the Championship.
The 38-year-old striker has officially announced his departure from Leicester City after spending 13 years at the club. His tenure ended with the Foxes` rather meek relegation from the top flight.

Vardy previously labeled the recently concluded season a “s***show” before sharing an emotional message to confirm he was leaving.
Leicester`s fate was sealed when they failed to secure a win against champions Liverpool at home.
During his successful period at the King Power Stadium, Vardy was instrumental in the team`s historic Premier League title win in 2015-16. In that memorable season, he also received the Player of the Season award and was included in the PFA Team of the Year.
He also won the Premier League Golden Boot during the 2019-20 season, finishing with 23 goals, just one ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

This season, Vardy managed to score seven goals in 32 appearances for Leicester.
There had been prior speculation linking him with a move to Wrexham, which some had called “the most obvious transfer of all time.”
However, according to Sky Sports reports, Vardy has no desire to play in the second tier and believes he can continue to perform effectively in the top flight.
He was previously linked with a transfer to Major League Soccer. Additionally, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp suggested that if Vardy were to join Wrexham, the club owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, he could potentially fire the Welsh side all the way to the Premier League.
Wrexham recently achieved promotion to the Championship last weekend after a 3-0 victory against Charlton Athletic at the Racecourse Ground.
A nostalgic “fairytale” return to his boyhood club, Sheffield Wednesday, has also been mentioned as a possibility.
Vardy, who earned 26 caps for England and scored seven international goals, is expected to begin searching for his next club once the current league season concludes.
