During a Champions League broadcast, football expert Jamie Carragher committed a classic TV mistake when his phone started ringing live on air, much to the embarrassment of host Kate Abdo.

Carragher was part of the CBS Sports panel alongside Thierry Henry, Micah Richards, and Abdo, known for their light-hearted and entertaining show.

While they were discussing Paris Saint-Germain`s exciting victory over Aston Villa, the studio was filled with gasps when Carragher`s phone rang.

Richards reacted dramatically, and a stunned Abdo asked in disbelief, “Oh my God, a cardinal sin on television! Who could it be?”

A slightly panicked Carragher confessed it was his 20-year-old daughter, Mia.

He answered the call, explaining to everyone that Mia was simply calling to find out where her mother was.

The former Liverpool defender responded, “I`m not sure, I`m in London, love.”

Abdo playfully suggested putting Mia on speakerphone, and Richards joked that she was derailing the show and costing them an Emmy award.

Mia, upon realizing her dad was live on TV, exclaimed, “Oh my God, I am so sorry! I had no idea.”

Since CBS Sports is primarily broadcast in the United States, Carragher humorously asked his daughter, “Aren`t you using a dodgy box to watch?”

Abdo then engaged Mia, curious to know, “Your dad can be quite opinionated on TV, what`s he like at home?”

Mia sweetly replied, “He is lovely.”

Carragher responded affectionately, “I love you more than anything, my girl. You`re a star.”

Richards then playfully inquired if Mia was the favorite child, or if that title belonged to her older brother James, 22, who plays for Wigan Athletic.

Carragher admitted, “This girl can do no wrong. I can never be strict with her, can hardly raise my voice, can I?”

As he ended the call, Mia said “I love you” to her dad, prompting an “aww” from the CBS Sports team.

Mia is pursuing a career in acting and graduated from Tring Park Performing Arts School in 2022.

She is also a talented dancer with a significant online presence, boasting over 84,400 followers on Instagram.
