Tottenham`s James Maddison was forced off the field after a violent clash with Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kaua Santos, suffering a head injury.
This incident occurred during Tottenham`s Europa League quarter-final second leg match against the German team.





Towards the end of the first half, Maddison ran to intercept a long pass from Cristian Romero.
He headed the ball towards the goal just before being hit by goalkeeper Santos, who rushed out of his net.
Santos` body collided with Maddison`s head, causing him to fall to the ground in pain.
His Tottenham teammates quickly signaled for medical assistance, expressing their worry.
VAR reviewed the incident and awarded a penalty for the foul, also booking Santos with a yellow card.
Dominic Solanke converted the penalty, putting Spurs ahead 1-0, and 2-1 on aggregate.
Despite initially trying to continue, Maddison was eventually replaced by Dejan Kulusevski due to the injury.
