World No. 6 Jack Draper shared his thoughts on the power outage that occurred at the Madrid tournament. The previous day`s play was unable to be completed due to significant issues that affected not only Spain but other European countries as well.
“Honestly, I liked it,” Draper commented. “I`m a bit of a minimalist. It`s actually quite nice when you don`t have phones and all the other stuff happening in the world. You just try to focus on what`s important.”
He added, “In the end, I read about 10 pages of a book. I usually don`t read at all, so that was interesting.” Draper made these remarks in an on-court interview following Matteo Berrettini`s withdrawal.
