World No. 5 Jack Draper shared his feelings following his fourth-round defeat at Roland Garros against Kazakhstan`s Alexander Bublik, ranked world No. 62. The match concluded with a scoreline of 7-5, 3-6, 2-6, 4-6 in favor of Bublik.
Speaking in his press conference, Draper stated, “I am incredibly disappointed with the result. Obviously, coming into the clay court season, I`d barely won any matches on the dirt. But I came into this tournament feeling in a good place. Felt like my level was increasing. I`m taking this loss very hard today.” He continued, “Despite the fact that I`ve risen up the rankings very quickly this year, got myself a good ranking, I`ve always had a lot of adversity, injuries, tough moments. This is another tough match. I`m going to learn from it, get better, and take advantage of it.”
