World No. 6 Jack Draper congratulated Casper Ruud on his victory at the Madrid Masters, where Draper was defeated 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 in the final.

You deserve this victory – you`ve worked so hard and consistently shown a high level in tournaments. Congratulations to you and your entire team; you`ve done an incredible job.”
“Losing hurts, but I want to thank my team, my mom, my brother – thank you for your support,” he added. “Tennis is tough, but this defeat will make me stronger. I will keep trying.”
