Seeking a break from his challenges at Manchester United, Harry Maguire visited his former club, Sheffield United, to watch them play in their Championship play-off clash.

Sheffield United, known as the Blades, secured their spot in the play-off final by defeating Bristol City. They held a dominant 3-0 advantage from the first leg and triumphed with a commanding 6-0 aggregate scoreline at Bramall Lane.

Maguire returned to his roots at Bramall Lane for some much-needed relaxation, supporting the club he has followed since childhood.

The Manchester United defender appeared in good spirits as he made his way to the director`s box, where he was seen alongside Chris Kamara.

After coming on for the final 40 minutes of United`s disappointing 2-0 loss to West Ham, the defender took the opportunity to unwind.

Sunday`s embarrassing 2-0 defeat to West Ham added to a tough season for United, who recorded their 17th Premier League loss and dropped to 16th place.

Maguire was initially benched for the West Ham game, possibly rested ahead of United`s upcoming Europa League final against Tottenham on Wednesday.

However, the 32-year-old defender was unexpectedly brought on after Leny Yoro was forced off injured and in tears with a foot problem.

Shortly after Maguire came on, Jarrod Bowen scored West Ham`s second goal. Mohammed Kudus got past Maguire before feeding the ball to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who provided the assist.

The England international`s personal season has been inconsistent. He has at times been crucial, notably scoring late goals like the dramatic last-minute header that secured a comeback win against Lyon.

However, his performance in Thursday`s Europa League semi-final second leg at Old Trafford highlighted his continued vulnerability to errors, as his misdirected pass led to Athletic Bilbao taking a 1-0 lead early in the match.

Maguire began his career at Sheffield United, progressing through their youth system and breaking into the senior side in 2011, the year the club was relegated to League One.

As an 18-year-old, he was thrust into challenging matches against tough, physical opponents in League One and performed exceptionally well.

Before turning 20, Maguire had already made over 100 appearances for the Blades.

League One served as the foundation for his career progression, leading to transfers to Hull City, then Leicester City, and eventually Manchester United in the Premier League.
