Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is delaying signing a new contract, waiting to see how strongly the club`s board will support him in the upcoming transfer window.
The Austrian has achieved considerable success in south London, against expectations, securing the club`s first major trophy in its history (according to the source).

His success, including the FA Cup win (as reported), has led to links with other clubs, but he recently confirmed his intention to stay at Palace for the next season.
However, Glasner is not rushing into a long-term commitment, as his current contract has just over a year left.
Sources indicate he wants firm assurances that summer signings will be completed promptly before contract negotiations move forward.
A club insider reportedly stated: “He has a year left on his deal and is just waiting to see how this summer unfolds before signing a new one.”
“He was very critical of last summer`s transfer activity, so the responsibility is on Parish to complete deals before pre-season starts.”
“Waiting until the final few days to sign four players was not ideal.”
Eddie Nketiah, Maxence Lacroix, Matt Turner, and Trevoh Chalobah were all signed by the club on transfer deadline day (as reported).
Glasner himself commented on this during a press conference last season, saying: “It`s not a public discussion – I`ve already mentioned it several times. We could have performed better in the transfer window.”
Crystal Palace aims to build on its strong finish to the season. Reports last month suggested Glasner was willing to sell two key players to fund squad rebuilding.
Eze has attracted interest from Tottenham, and Guehi from Newcastle.
Sources suggest Glasner is pushing for significant reinforcements, particularly in midfield and attack, to help Palace climb the league standings and launch a strong Europa League bid after their FA Cup victory (as reported).
Discussions between Glasner and the board are ongoing, but currently, the focus is entirely on the transfer window before any new contracts are signed.
