Four players from the Top 10 of the ATP rankings have lost their first match at the third Masters tournament in a row. According to Opta Ace, this is only the second time such an instance has happened since the format was introduced in 1990. The first time was in 2007 during the series of tournaments in Montreal, Cincinnati, and Madrid.

At the Miami Masters, Carlos Alcaraz (ranked 3rd), Jack Draper (7th), Daniil Medvedev (8th), and Andrey Rublev (9th) were defeated in their opening matches.

It is noted that all semi-finalists of the Indian Wells Masters have completed their performance in Miami.
