Former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor, has voiced his strong opinion on bare-knuckle boxing.
The Irish combat sports icon is not just an observer; he`s a co-owner of the burgeoning American promotion, Bare Knuckle FC.
According to McGregor, “It`s the purest form of fighting. You won`t find a more unadulterated form of organized combat. The intensity is palpable, especially when witnessed live.”
He reflected on his past successes, stating, “We elevated the UFC to unprecedented heights, culminating in its sale for a staggering $4.2 billion. Some now estimate its value at $10 billion! However, it seems that empire has reached a plateau.”
McGregor concluded with a bold statement about the appeal of bare-knuckle fighting: “Bare-knuckle fights electrify audiences. I appreciate all combat sports – I`ve experienced MMA, I`ve been involved in boxing. But bare-knuckle boxing operates on a different plane. It`s significantly more intense than both MMA and boxing.”
