Coleen Rooney`s earnings have surpassed those of her husband, former England footballer Wayne Rooney, following a £1.3 million profit from her business activities.

Recent financial reports for her company, CWR 2021, show that her income from endorsements and media work has more than tripled over the past year.

Coleen, 39, who was runner-up on I`m A Celebrity, released her accounts for the year ending September 2024 yesterday, revealing that her flourishing business already held £580,000 in cash reserves.

Her husband, former Three Lions captain Wayne Rooney, 39, was reportedly earning approximately £500,000 annually as the manager of Plymouth Argyle before his departure from the club in December.

At the height of his playing career in 2014, the former Manchester United striker was reportedly earning £300,000 per week.

Coleen becoming the primary earner is set to be featured in an upcoming Disney+ documentary series titled “The Rooneys.”

The streaming service confirmed yesterday that the series will show her managing her business alongside Wayne, who is seen taking their four sons to school.

According to a financial analyst, “These figures demonstrate that Coleen was generating more income than Wayne even before her participation in I`m A Celeb.”

“Following her highly popular appearance in the jungle reality show, her earnings are expected to increase significantly.”

“The heightened public interest in Coleen after her strong performance on the show likely also helped secure the Disney documentary deal.”

“Receiving substantial payments from a global streaming platform, coupled with her earnings from ITV, will undoubtedly further boost the Rooney family`s finances.”

Coleen received a substantial fee for appearing on I`m A Celebrity last autumn, where she finished second to McFly singer Danny Jones, 39.

Recently, she has continued to earn income through various deals, including endorsing the health supplement brand Applied Nutrition.

Coleen has maintained a significant public profile since the 2023 “Wagatha Christie” court case initiated by Rebekah Vardy.

Coleen had publicly alleged that Rebekah`s Instagram account was responsible for leaking stories from her private posts.

A judge dismissed Rebekah`s libel lawsuit, ruling that Coleen`s accusations were substantially true.

This outcome led to a three-part documentary series, “The Real Wagatha Story,” providing exclusive insights from Coleen.

Wayne has recently moved into football punditry after a less successful period in management.

His managerial path included stints at Derby County, a brief playing spell for DC United in the US, returning to management at Birmingham City, and finally his unsuccessful time at Plymouth.

The changing financial dynamics for the Rooneys have generated significant interest from documentary producers, which has proven profitable for the family.

Following the 2022 Prime Video biopic “Rooney” made with Lorton Productions, the same creative team is now producing the Disney+ series.
