Before their highly anticipated Champions League quarter-final match against PSG, Aston Villa`s DJ made a comical error by playing the Europa League anthem.
As both Aston Villa and Paris Saint-Germain teams stood ready for the second leg of their quarter-final, the familiar and iconic anthem was expected. However, the wrong tune filled Villa Park.

Instead of the expected Champions League music, the Europa League anthem was played for the players and the thousands of fans present at Villa Park.
Unai Emery`s Aston Villa team appeared visibly stunned by the audio mix-up as cameras captured their reactions during the lineup.
The fans at Villa Park also reacted with surprise, expressing their displeasure with boos directed at the error.
This unexpected blunder quickly gained traction online and became widely discussed.
Social media reactions poured in, with one fan questioning, “Why did they play the Europa League anthem?”
Another comment highlighted the irony: “EUROPA LEAGUE ANTHEM ON UCL NIGHT.”
Another observer noted the players` reactions: “The players` faces say it all.”
One humorous reaction speculated about the DJ`s job security: “Someone`s getting sacked in the morning.”

Another fan online questioned, “How do you mess up this badly?”
Amazon commentator Adrian Clarke commented on air about the incident: “The first misstep of the night, someone`s miscued the Champions League anthem.”
He added, “Stirring music but not quite what we`ve come to expect as the soundtrack to games like this.”
Villa`s DJ attempted to correct the mistake by subsequently playing the Champions League anthem, but the initial error had already made its mark.
The anthem mix-up was certainly not the ideal start that Emery and his team would have wanted for such a crucial match.
Adding to the unfortunate start, Achraf Hakimi scored in the 11th minute, increasing PSG`s aggregate lead to 4-1.
Further dampening Aston Villa`s hopes, Nuno Mendes scored in the 28th minute, pushing the French team to a commanding 5-1 aggregate lead.
