Casemiro could be set to end his playing career at Manchester United following a significant shift in perspective by Ruben Amorim.
The former Real Madrid star appeared likely to leave Old Trafford during the summer transfer window after a noticeable drop in form.

However, the midfielder has shown revitalised form in recent weeks and has been a key player for the Red Devils in their European campaign.
Sources at United indicate that Amorim has been working closely with the player at the Carrington training ground and now believes Casemiro has a crucial role to play in the club`s ongoing rebuilding process.
Amorim sees the player`s experience and versatility as significant assets as he attempts to bring success back to Old Trafford.
Consequently, staying at Manchester United is now a serious option for Casemiro, despite previous links to moves to Major League Soccer in America and the Saudi Pro League.
Although he could potentially earn considerable sums of money elsewhere, sources close to the player report that he is happy in England and is open to the idea of finishing his career at the highest level of the sport.
He currently receives a substantial salary of £375,000 per week, which is one of the highest wages in football.
Casemiro spoke about his continued passion for top-tier football in an interview ahead of United’s important Europa League match against Athletic Club.
The five-time Champions League winner told United’s official matchday programme: “I have won what I have won.
“But I always want more. I always want to earn it, to win, that is the winning mentality.
“People only see the 90 minutes, I always say ‘the matches are the reflection of what you do every day’ and that is me – always working.
Ruben Amorim is determined to secure Europa League success for Manchester United.
“Whether I play or don’t play, I am there every day. That is me as a person, that is me. Whether I play or not – all I want is for United to win.
“If United win, I am winning. The most important is that United win. It is not about me winning or another player winning, it is about United winning.
“I want to help in any way I can, I will be there. This is my mentality. That is why I have won what I have won in my career.”

The Brazilian midfielder joined United in the summer of 2022 for a transfer fee of £70 million.
He scored United`s second goal in their 4-1 victory over Bilbao in the Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
This goal added to the opening goal he scored in the first leg, helping Amorim`s side secure a 3-0 win at San Mames.
