Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz shared his thoughts on the upcoming return of Italian world No. 1 Jannik Sinner to the court. Sinner is set to compete again after serving a three-month disqualification, as mentioned in the original report, related to an anti-doping rule violation. His first match back will be in the second round of the Rome `Masters` tournament in Italy, where he is scheduled to face Argentinian Mariano Navone.
“I am very happy about Sinner`s return,” Alcaraz stated. “There is no better place for Jannik to come back than Rome. His return is good for everyone: for me, for himself, and for tennis in general. I hope we meet in the final.”
Both Alcaraz and Sinner are scheduled to make their first appearance in Rome on Friday, May 9th. Alcaraz will compete against Dusan Lajovic from Serbia in his opening match.
