World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz has shared his thoughts on ATP No. 1 Jannik Sinner`s three-month absence from the Tour.
Alcaraz admitted, “I would honestly love to do nothing for a month. We play for 11 months of the year with very few breaks, usually no more than three days or a week at most. Playing with high intensity for 11 months, with significant physical and mental strain, and only getting three or four consecutive days off is not ideal. I believe that rest is crucial for both the fans and the sport of tennis as a whole, because it allows us to come back to the court and perform at a higher level.”
