The joy of Burnley`s promotion was significantly overshadowed by unpleasant incidents involving Sheffield United midfielder Hamza Choudhury.
At the final whistle, massive celebrations erupted as Burnley supporters invaded the pitch to celebrate alongside their team.
However, the events were marred by the unsavoury scenes concerning Choudhury. The player, who is on loan from Leicester, was visibly angry and was initially seen being moved away by a police officer as he left the field.

Subsequently, a Burnley fan seemed to provoke the midfielder by celebrating right in front of him. By the time Sky Sports cameras returned to the pitch after showing someone (Parker) in the stands, Choudhury was even more agitated.
Security personnel then had to restrain him as a minor altercation started. The Bangladesh international was guided towards the tunnel by a staff member while he was trying vehemently to get away. The precise cause of the incident remains unknown.
This is not the first instance of an altercation occurring at the end of a Sheffield United match recently. Manager Chris Wilder was involved in a commotion when tensions rose after a defeat against Plymouth Argyle.
It appeared the manager was unhappy with how Argyle player Mustapha Bundu celebrated in front of the Sheffield United fans. An exchange of words preceded pushing and shoving in the tunnel, involving several players and Wilder.
