Top American UFC welterweight Joaquin Buckley commented on the potential move of former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev to the welterweight division.
Buckley stated, “`Islam is moving to welterweight, and now everyone in the division dreams of fighting him. This is the most tempting piece. We havenโt crossed paths with Islam, but before our fight, he will learn a lot about me. I would be the worst nightmare for him since I can do what he fears the most. Dell Maddalena has many gaps that Islam can exploit.`”
Buckley last appeared in the octagon in December of last year, securing a victory by finishing Colby Covington.
