A significant, last-minute development has shaken up the UTS Nîmes event as the inaugural leg of the 2026 UTS circuit prepares to kick off this Friday in the historic Arènes de Nîmes. Spanish tennis star Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has been forced to withdraw from the competition due to an abdominal tear.

Affectionately known as “The Bull,” Davidovich Fokina will be replaced by none other than Stefanos Tsitsipas. This won’t be “El Greco’s” first appearance on the innovative UTS courts; the Greek sensation previously reached the semifinals of the New York edition, showcasing his flair for the unique format.
