Former world No. 9 Andrei Chesnokov shared his thoughts on Aryna Sabalenka`s triumph at the Miami tournament. In the final, the Belarusian player defeated Jessica Pegula with a score of 7-5, 6-2.

Chesnokov stated, `Sabalenka has reached phenomenal, cosmic form. After the final against Mirra [in Indian Wells], she played such an incredible tournament in Miami! It`s like when you see a nail sticking out, and you hammer it down with all your might. That`s how she dealt with everyone. She played phenomenally! Such a pace, none of her opponents could keep up with her powerful shots. Pegula is a good mover on the court, she handles fast pace well. It`s extremely difficult to outplay her, but Sabalenka did it. She`s amazing, I`m very happy for her! She`s in incredible form right now and proves that she is currently the number one player in the world.`

He also commented on the performance of Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider at the Miami tournament. The Russian duo won their first WTA 1000 doubles title.

`A great victory! This is the best result of their entire career. Besides the Olympic Games where they reached the final, but the Olympics is a special tournament. The girls are great! We can only congratulate them wholeheartedly and admire this pair, who could win a Grand Slam tournament in the future. They feel each other, they play and can sense and cover for each other even with their eyes closed.`
